 Q. I am looking at improving my warehouse operations. What types of services does PSCC provide?

A. PSCC provides a number of services to help you improve your operation:
• Designing operations layouts for storage areas, packaging operations, hazardous materials (HAZMAT) storage facilities, receiving/shipping operations, and related office areas
• Calculation space requirements of supply operations for new or existing facilities.
• Determining equipment requirements including storage aids, material handling equipment (MHE), and packaging equipment
• Developing re-warehousing plans and providing implementation guidance

 Q. Why are planographs important?
A. The planographs serve as the basis for establishing and maintaining the installations’ stock locator system. Up-to-date and well maintained planographs are the heart of a continuous program of space planning, utilization, and control
 Q. How often do I have to do a planograph?
A. Planographs must be current, displayed and updated as changes occur to provide an accurate depiction of the warehouse layout
 Q. Why are Storage Space Management Reports (SSMR) important?
A. The SSMR, (DD Form 805) is a valuable tool for Headquarters, Department of Army (HQDA) to utilize as an overview of the storage space occupancy at Army installations for potential realignments
 Q. How often are SSMRs required?
A. SSMRs are submitted annually IAW AR 740-1, Storage and Supply Activity Operations, to PSCC. Installations with larger warehouses in excess of 1M square foot are required to report semiannually
